- BWAW by SIL was launched as a program of sessions to promote gender equality in a traditionally very male-dominated sector, to continue advancing toward parity, and to give visibility to the role of women in logistics.

SIL 2024 Milestones
- The 14th Barometer of the SIL 2024 Logistics Circle shared key data such as:
— Over half of the companies plan to invest over one million euros within five years to adapt to the Industry 4.0 economy (with an annual increase of 6.6%).
— 77.5% believe it is essential or imperative for logistics managers to be involved in the decision-making process.
— stated they are “very or fairly committed” to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Alliances for Logistics
AECOC and the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) have signed a collaboration agreement to carry out joint actions to support the development of logistics entrepreneurship. The agreement was formalized during a meeting held at the DFactory Barcelona facilities between the Special Government Delegate at the CZFB, Pere Navarro, and the General Director of AECOC, José María Bonmatí.
The agreement's objective is to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, specifically in the logistics sector, through collaboration in events and activities that promote knowledge and create opportunities for startups in the field. This includes mutually promoting programs and participating in events aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and networking, such as SIL Barcelona—the International Logistics, Transportation, Intralogistics, and Supply Chain Trade Fair—and Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW).
As part of this agreement, AECOC will collaborate in the upcoming edition of SIL Barcelona, the leading international fair for Logistics, Transportation, Intralogistics, and the Supply Chain. The event will take place from June 5 to 7, 2024, in Hall 8 of the Montjuïc–Plaça Espanya venue of Fira de Barcelona.
